A friend and I recently rode our motorcycles up to Des Moines, Iowa and we camped on the way up. My son competed in the National Junior Forensic League tournament in Des Moines. This was my first long trip on my new motorcycle, Yamaha Venture.
We will be camped in Petit Jean State Park and Mount Magazine State Park in Arkansas, Lake of the Ozarks State Park and Stockton State Park in Missouri, and staying in a motel while in Des Moines. On Saturday June 26th we visited J and P Cycles in Anamosa, Iowa. They were host their "Open House" that Saturday and Sunday. We picked up some good deals!

We are trailering through Texas and New Mexico to Pueblo, Colorado. From there we will be riding the rest of the time. We are spending 5 nights in West Yellowstone before heading back. We have plans for a rafting trip, a visit to a gold mine, some hiking, and visits to some museums.
Ride carefully and prayerfully!

ReplyDeleteI am ending day 4 of the trip and it has been great. It would have been great having a tour guide, maybe next time.
